Another Child Needs Your Prayers

Owen Nelson was born this week in Birmingham to Steve and Amy Nelson. He was born with a heart abnormality. I am told Owen’s defect is called Hypo Plastic Left Heart Syndrome; basically the left side of his heart did not form completely. Rather than two valves, he has only the valve on the right side. The surgery will entail using artificial parts to re-route the blood through the left side of his heart. He was scheduled for surgery this morning at UAB at 7:30. The surgery may take 6 hours. The Dr and family are Christians. I pray they will rely on their faith to guide them all thru this. Please keep this family in your prayers.
